    Objectives

       

      Department Objective
        Training students to be intellectually, morally, professionally, and socially capacitated in the field of electronic engineering, and also devoting its resources to academic research with the aim of serving the nation and society, and promoting the welfare of human beings.
      Department Mission
        In terms of teaching, the Department of Electronic Engineering strives to balance both theory and practice, develop independent thinking, innovation, and problem solving ability in students, and encourage team spirit and respect for the profession; and subsequently lay down the foundation for lifetime learning and the ability to face the challenges of the 21 Century.
        In terms of research and service, the Department of Electronic Engineering strives to devote itself to relevant research fields in electronic engineering, pursue new knowledge, and cooperate with the needs of the nation and society to promote the development of the economy and people's wellbeing.

       

       

      Educational objective I
        Teach students to use principles in mathematics, science and engineering to solve the problems in electronic engineering.
      Required academic achievements of the graduates
          1.1  Master the background knowledge in basic mathematics and physics required for electronic
                  engineering.
          1.2  Master calculation skills and the ability to utilize modern calculation apparatus or tools.
          1.3  Possess the ability to apply methods of engineering mathematics to the analyses and deduction of data.
          1.4  Possess design and practical experiences in electronic engineering, and the ability to analyze and
                  interpret experimental data.
          1.5  Possess the .2ability to comprehend, analyze and design electronic technology, circuits, and systems.
          1.6  Possess the ability to conduct an independent experiment, and know the operation of various
                  instruments and data sampling methods.

       

      Educational objective II
        Teach students to give full play to their professional skills and make successful career planning.
      Required academic achievements of the graduates
          2.1  Possess a general ability in collecting, organizing and analyzing technical data.
          2.2  Possess the ability to plan and execute their own engineering projects.
          2.3  Possess good communication skills in making oral and written reports.
          2.4  Understand professional and ethical responsibilities, and have professional ethics that follow intellectual
                  property rights.
          2.5  Understand the importance of interdisciplinary learning, and have the ability to engage in teamwork.
          2.6  Understand the importance of lifelong learning, and have the ability to utilize library and internet
                  resources, as well as the ability to search for data.

       

      Educational objective III
        Offer students extensive education content that meets the demands of globalization and society.
      Required academic achievements of the graduates
          3.1  Have a globalization concept and recognize their roles in the modern society.
          3.2  Humanist cultivation, and be able to appreciate culture and art.
          3.3  Be able to use at least one foreign language (e.g. English) to absorb new information from the
                  relevantfields of electronics, and also have experiences in writing reports and communicating using
                  suchlanguage.
          3.4  Have a basic understanding in the future international development trend of relevant industries.

       

       

      Educational objective I
        Educate students to solve electronic engineering problems by applying the knowledge of professional fields (optoelectronic semiconductor, chip design, communication system).
      Required academic achievements of the graduates
          1.1  Understand background knowledge of professional field in electronic engineering.
          1.2  Learn calculation techniques and the ability to use modern equipment and tools.
          1.3  Understand the application of methodology analysis and the ability of data deduction in professional
                  field.
          1.4  Understand, analyze and design electronic technology, circuit and system.
          1.5  Learn to plan experiments and understand operation of every instrument, methods of data sampling,
                  statisticalanalysis and data interpretation.

       

      Educational objective II
        Career planning for students to develop professional skills.
      Required academic achievements of the graduates
          2.1  Ability of technical data collection, organization, analysis, and the ability of creative thinking.
          2.2  Ability to plan and execute case study and research.
          2.3  Communication skills in oral presentation and written report.
          2.4  Ability to write professional thesis.
          2.5  Understand professional and ethical responsibilities, and have professional ethics that follow
                  intellectualproperty rights.
          2.6  Understand the importance of interdisciplinary learning, and have the ability to engage in teamwork.
          2.7  Understand the importance of lifelong learning, and have the ability to utilize library and
                  internetresources, aswell as the ability to search for data.

       

      Educational objective III
        Provide students necessary educational content to actually apply in the world of globalization and society.
      Required academic achievements of the graduates
          3.1  Have the concept of globalization and recognize the roles they play in modern society.
          3.2  Ability to use at least one foreign language (e.g. English) for the access of latest information in
                  relativefield ofelectronics, write report and communicate.
          3.3  Basic understanding of future international development trend in relevant industries.
